In October 2023, with the support of CMF, the Pegasus Institute hosted the Ottawa Symposium for Refugee and Immigrant ITPS and IENS “Empowering Refugee Health Professionals: Fostering Integration, Inspiring Progress” conference.
The event featured in-depth information sessions on the integration of international medical and nursing graduates into the Canadian health system. Attendees gained valuable insights from the personal experiences of refugee and immigrant medical and nursing graduates, offering a comprehensive understanding of the challenges they faced.
Speakers included representatives from the Pegasus Institute, as well as the National Newcomer Navigation Network, as well as the Canadian Red Cross.
