Navigating entry into Canada’s health workforce is particularly challenging if you are an Internationally Educated Health Professional. Just one of the many challenges that IEHPs face is understanding the Canadian Resident Matching Service (CaRMS) which matches medical students to postgraduate medical training programs in Canada. And, in fact, 80% of international medical graduates do not match (compared to less than 5% of Canadian Medical Graduates).
Understanding the process and getting advice from IEHPS who have had success can be invaluable to those who are on their journey into Canada’s health human workforce or just starting out.
As part of the CMF/Pegasus Institute partnership’s series of webinars, join the Pegasus Institute tomorrow, May 1st from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm EDT for the “Strategies for Success in CaRMS.” webinar, geared towards providing firsthand insights from IEHPs who have successfully navigated the CaRMS process with speakers, Nida Fatima and Randa Yosef, both matched to Family Medicine at Western University, will share their insights and strategies that led to their success.
