Setting: Hospital & Outreach Posts
Role: Volunteers play a role in providing medical care to the impoverished people of Nepal. Volunteers are paired with local professionals to facilitate a sharing of knowledge and experience. Volunteers will contribute in a number of ways and can expect to undertake the following tasks:
Consult patients as needed; Observe procedures and daily practices within the hospital; Attend and assist on a free Health Camp (dependent on timing); Network with local residents and project staff; and Assist with medical care as appropriate to the volunteer’s skills and training
Time Commitment: 1-12 Weeks

Requirements: Education in related field, provide a criminal background check, emergency contact and resume.
Cost: Costs range from $890 CAD to $3,712 CAD. Volunteers are also responsible for their own airfare, travel insurance, and spending money (and visas & permits where required).
