Setting: Clinics

Role: As a Healthcare volunteer, you can work in clinics for disabled children or the homeless, in nursing homes or with ambulance services in San José. Qualified professionals may also be, shadowing doctors and nurses, assist with checkups, take vitals, triage patients and prepare medical equipment.

Time Commitment: Min. 1 Week

When: Ongoing; Starts every Monday

Requirements: To join the Medical project in San José you will need to be a qualified medical professional with an active license. All volunteers are required to speak fluent English and adequate volunteer travel insurance and provide a criminal background check to IVHQ before departure.

Cost: From CA $741 per week, (and a Registration Fee of approx. CA $454); Volunteers are also responsible for: Visa, flights, travel insurance (mandatory), vaccinations, criminal background check, lunch and dinner, public transport to and from your placement each day and return to the airport when your program finishes.
