Canadian Medical Foundation (CMF) donors have raised more than $150,000 to provide earthquake relief in the form of medical outreach to Nepal, following the devastating earthquake this spring.
The Canadian Medical Foundation has leveraged the Government of Canada’s Nepal Earthquake Relief Fund to see a majority of these donations matched to provide additional funds directly to Nepal in this time of need.
The funds raised by the CMF will be used to provide medical support and supplies directly to Nepal, through partnerships with Médecins Sans Frontières Canada, Health Partners International of Canada and Team Broken Earth.
Médecins Sans Frontières Canada is using the funds to provide medical aid and supplies to those located in isolated villages in Nepal.
Health Partners International of Canada is using the funds to provide essential medicines and medical supplies in the form of “travel packs” to those in Nepal who are challenged in reaching a hospital.
Team Broken Earth is sending the funds to Patan Hospital in Nepal to be used for medical supplies and medical care.
The CMF continues to accept donations for Nepal Earthquake Relief. Donations can be made on our website, here: https://medicalfoundation.ca/en/donate-now/ Please indicate in the notes section, that you would like your donation directed towards Nepal.
