Alleviating Poverty in Rural East Africa:
Canadian Medical Foundation and Canadian Physicians for Aid and Relief
The Canadian Medical Foundation (CMF) is partnering with Canadian Physicians for Aid and Relief (CPAR) to support vulnerable communities and diverse organizations in alleviating poverty and building healthy communities in rural East Africa.
For over 30 years, CPAR has made a long-term commitment to change in rural East Africa. CPAR is committed to working in partnership with African community members on a grassroots level not only to improve their current quality of life and wellbeing but also to improve their future.
CPAR is committed to working side-by-side with community members in remote areas of East Africa where the need and challenges are great but the rewards are enormous.
CPAR’s commitment to change is based on providing access to clean water and adequate food, improving hygiene and sanitation, creating secure livelihoods and improving access to primary health care.
The CMF actively supports the philanthropic priorities of Canadian physicians and recognizes that medical outreach is consistently a top priority. As part of our medical outreach program, CMF is raising funds to support CPAR’s programs in Africa.
Donations to support this program can be made here. Please note in the comments section of the donation form that your donation is for the CPAR Fund.
